West Coast Charity for Children provides underprivileged children and organizations that help those kids with the things they need most. If your program needs funding or if your kids need assistance, please contact us at programs@westcoastcharity.org
Here are a few examples of how we help kids:
Food, Shelter & Clothing - At the very heart of our efforts, we raise and distribute funds to cover the basic necessities of life for low-income families with children.
Transportation - We run an extensive vehicle-donation program. We inspect and repair donated vehicles. Then we give them to qualifying families. This way, their kids can get to schools, libraries, doctors offices, etc.
Education - Tutoring is extremely important for the academic advancement of students in poverty-stricken families. While many of their classmates can afford private tutors, low-income students often suffer without. Homework slides. Grades fall. And all too many drop out. Education is the great equalizer of our society. No matter what a child's background, a good education is their key to success. That's why we fund learning programs, like after-school sessions where tutors help kids with English, math, science, history, health, social studies, and whatever else the kids are studying. Plus, our technical program provides kids with computers loaded with educational software.
Youth Activities - We also promote healthy activities by supporting youth organizations, like sports clubs, athletic leagues, service organizations, social clubs, and arts and music opportunities.
